“The book of life,” also called “the scroll of life” or “book of remembrance,” contains the names of people in line to receive the gift of everlasting life. (Revelation ; ; Malachi ) God determines those names based on a person’s faithful obedience to him. — John ; 1 John   Some people point to Revelation as “proof” that a person can lose his salvation. However, the promise of Revelation is clearly that the Lord will not erase a name: “He who overcomes I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life.” An overcomer is one who is victorious over the temptations, trials, and evils of this.

The Book of Life (also called The Lamb’s Book of Life) is a record containing the names of those who have overcome sin through accepting Jesus as Christ (having a spiritual rebirth). In other words, the Book of Life is the names of the redeemed—those who will live with God forever in heaven.   Q. I’m reading a book that says names are not added to the Book of Life, they are blotted out. The book refers to the place in Exodus where Moses prays, “But now please forgive their sin, but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written,” and God replies, “Everyone who has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.”. I’d always thought our names were added to the Lamb.

Jeremiah’s life and times. Jeremiah served as one of God’s prophets through the rule of five kings of Judah (Josiah, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin and Zedekiah). He even continued to plead God’s case against Judah during the time of Jerusalem’s destruction by the Babylonians in B.C. (Jeremiah ; ).His prophetic ministry extended over a period of more than 40 years. Maker, the Mother and the Father of Life, of all created things, he who gives breath and thought, she who gives birth to the children, he who watches over the happiness of the people, the happiness of the human race, the wise man, he who meditates on the goodness of all that exists in the sky, on the earth, in the lakes and in the Size: KB.
